Hey girl, hey! How are you, sister?

I am so grateful you are here today, reading something that I believe will be fundamental to your walk with Christ. Now, I must say—this message may not be for everyone. If you believe it isn't, I still have a special message for you at the end. Truthfully, this is for the sister who needs a reminder and encouragement that our actions play a huge role in our everyday lives and in the expectations we have of God. God will always do His part, but it is necessary that we continue to show up and give Him our "yes," no matter what.

This episode will serve as a heart posture check that is backed with accountability. So, take a seat, sis, and get ready to receive a good word. Have You Truly Given God Your "Yes"?

Take some time to reflect on your life. Think about the different seasons, transitions, highs and lows, fruitful seasons and slow seasons. Have you truly given our Lord and Savior your "yes"?

Many of us say,

"Yes, Lord, I'm ready for..."

• Increase

• A new start

• A deeper relationship with You

• Financial freedom

• Serving Your Kingdom and bringing lost souls to Christ

• My diploma, graduation, or acceptance into a program

• "I'm ready to do what You've called me to do."

But let's be real, sis.

Are you only being verbal with your "yes" without backing it up with action? As you read this blog, remember that every Scripture has a promise attached to it.

Matthew 22:14 — "For many are called, but few are chosen."

Personally, I believe we are all created with purpose. God has purpose, opportunities, places, and divine alignment prepared for each of us (Jeremiah 1:5). The difference between the called and the chosen is this: Many hear the call of the Lord. Many receive opportunities and favor but ignore them. They don't act on the instructions or commands of God. But the chosen sister accepts the invitation. She embraces the opportunity and backs it with action—regardless of the situation.

Again, many of us say we want more while displaying a completely different work ethic (Proverbs 6:9–11).

Increase

You're still doing the things that keep you stagnant or trapped in unhealthy cycles.

A New Start

You're living the same routine because you're afraid of being uncomfortable or stepping into the unknown.

A Deeper Relationship with Abba

There's no urgency when you're called to pray, worship, or intercede in the midnight hour. You choose scrolling over reading your Bible, gossip over planting fruitful seeds, and distractions over intimacy with God.

Financial Freedom

You're not tithing, not pouring into your community, making impulsive financial decisions instead of prioritizing your responsibilities, or not paying back what you owe (Proverbs 3:27–28; Romans 13:7–8).

Promotion

You call off work often, barely clock in on time, complain about your current position, and remain ungrateful for where the Lord has you right now.

Serving the Kingdom

You have a poor attitude toward the people around you. You don't listen to the needs of your community. You're easily angered, and there's hatred or envy in your heart.

Diploma or Acceptance into a Program

You don't steward your time well. You avoid studying, you choose shortcuts over genuine learning and preparation, skip class, and don't take the time to prepare mentally.

We have to understand that "to whom much is given, much is required" (Luke 12:48). We can't ask the Lord for greater roles while continuing to show up as if we're not already preparing for the promise. And let's be honest, sis—especially if He has already placed you in the space you're called to be in—occupy it.

Now, to my sisters who are doing the right things... Maybe you're praying, fasting, tithing, showing up consistently, and giving God your best, yet it still doesn't seem to be working. I sympathize with you, and I stand with you. Remain encouraged.

Don't be like the disciples in the boat with Jesus when the storm arose (Sea of Galilee). They woke Him because they were terrified they were going to drown. Yet Jesus asked them why they were so afraid and why their faith was so small. Sis, Jesus asks us that same question today.

Mark 11:23 — "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them."

Have faith, sis.

God has not forgotten you.

If, after reading this blog or listening to the podcast, you realize your "yes" hasn't truly been a "yes," or maybe you know your best can become better, then take this as an invitation to give God your "yes" again. Some days will be easier than others. Some days you'll feel strong.Other days you won't. But what's important is that you continue to show up because Jesus will go before you and do what only He can do.

Your responsibility is obedience. His responsibility is the outcome.
