Introduction:
Hey girl hey, this episode we are discussing how it is time to get in order and realize how our behaviors interfere with our relationship with Christ—especially the new life that God has called us to live. So many times we cry out to God in the midst of our sin and when we are out of alignment, asking for a fresh and clean start. We know that our actions are not of Christ, or we know that we can be doing more to better our relationship with Christ. We keep falling into the same constant cycles that glorify the enemy versus our Heavenly Father, and those same cycles then lead to guilt and shame. Then you soon start to shy yourself away from God because you’re tired of doing the cycle—repenting, then falling into the same cycle again. This is the fight we are targeting in 2026. This fight can also be paired with spiritual warfare, and if you haven’t read that blog post, take the time to read that as well!

Conversation:
Our Bible has full proof that God used people who struggled just like we do. In the Book of Psalms, Prophet Nathan confronted King David about his sin with Bathsheba—they committed adultery. When you reflect over the whole story, that wasn’t the only thing that was committed: deceit, abuse of power, and murder. David repented unto God, saying, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10).
Never stray away from repenting. I don’t care how many times you’ve committed the sin. Don’t allow your emotions to get in the way of the truth. We all fall short, but it is important that you get back up and continue your walk. When we request those kinds of prayers, God does move on our behalf. He wants you to be aligned. He wants you to experience love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, longsuffering (patience), faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
But let’s be for real—how many times have we folded or failed on our plans for alignment? Because God is going to do His end, as He stated in His Word: “Behold, I am making all things new” (Revelation 21:5) and “Forget the former things… See, I am doing a new thing” (Isaiah 43:18–19). So I am going to ask you: God is doing His end, but are you doing yours?
It is okay to give yourself grace because breaking habits or changing a routine that has been in place for years is hard to stop. But honestly, sis, too much grace is not okay because it opens the door for constant cycles, which will make you feel like a constant failure. I am here to tell you—get up, sis. It’s time. It’s time to stop with the excuses and actually try. No more excuses on why you are not reading your Word, having daily conversations with God, stewarding your body well, treating people nicely, etc.
If you say you are going to do something, trust yourself and do it, love. Walk in dominion and authority because He stated, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy…” (Luke 10:19). It may not be easy, but you can do it. You may not get it right at first, but by the end, you will be able to say you did it. I am proud of you and your new start. You got this more than you think.

Luke 5:36–38 “No one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins… New wine must be poured into new wineskins.”
New wine = the new work, covenant, and movement of God
Old wineskins = old mindsets, traditions, habits, or ways of operating
New wineskins = a renewed heart, flexibility, and obedience to what God is doing now
